She looks like Yoda and Kurt Vonnegut's love child and has a sassy old lady attitude. She is up for adoption through the Pacific Pug Rescue and I am wishinghopingpraying that she will still be available once we have moved.

I've been very excited that one of my orchids has sent out a new arm full of buds and is about to bloom again.

I had previously accepted that my other orchid was just growing more leaves instead of shoots, and that maybe that was its appropriate life path and I should just support its decision. But then! I saw it was growing a completely new shoot from scratch:

Ok, garden update: we had to take out the radishes and carrots for failure to thrive. Replanted some carrots in the bigger space and finally caved and bought some blooming marigolds (harharhar) to combat all of the bugs that are eating the lettuce and spinach:

The zucchini is really happy.

The peas are also doing pretty well

Pole beans are making a comeback

We also found this white board to try to reflect some more sun onto our box, but I'm not sure it's gonna help much :/ Wah wah, lame spring/summer in PDX

M got a chia pet, though, and it's pretty sweet:

It's been a few days since I've discussed my love of MuShu

Olive doesn't understand what the big deal is

But there's just something about how all of her face is squished at the bottom of her tiny head

and her little button nose that looks like it's the same kind used for Sifl and Olly

and that this is how excited she gets about everything in life:

that makes me want to take her home really really badly.

I got taken out by some playing dogs in the yard last week, and the bruise has started to look like some kind of supernova or distant universe:
